KGV Scholarships

Our KGV scholarship programme is designed to reward our high achieving students. Whether you are gifted academically or have a talent in a sport or the arts, you could be eligible for our programme and a scholarship can be up to the value of £1000 per academic year.

Scholarships now available

We offer this programme to talented prospective students who have applied to KGV and have the potential to achieve great things with us! You can apply in Year 11 for the chance to be accepted for an award.

Students need to explain in their application what they would use the money for, but it can be used in a wide variety of ways to help towards your studies. For example, you could invest in equipment which could improve your learning whether it be books, scientific or photography kit. You could also use it towards a trip which will benefit your studies;  Art students could perhaps have a subsidised trip to Berlin to visit German Galleries or History students could benefit from a visit to the Second World War battlefields in France.

Similarly you could invest in classes to improve your skills in your specialist area, whether that be extra music or drama classes or a masterclass with a professional sportsperson. Whatever it is you need to improve your skills, if you are accepted for a Scholarship, KGV will help you on your way to success.

We believe that it is important to develop your talents as they often become aspects of our chosen careers and we believe that high performers should be rewarded for their hard work. Previously scholarships have been awarded for students who excel in:

  • Sports
  • Science
  • Maths
  • Humanities
  • Creative Arts

KGV Bursaries

Alongside our scholarship scheme KGV offers bursaries to students to assist with college expenses including travel, study and support. We are grateful to the Educational Foundation trust a charitable group which exists to support students studying at KGV College and who fund the scholarship and bursary programme.
