The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is an opportunity to expand your learning by embarking on a self-directed project on a topic of your own choice. You will plan, research and develop your initial idea into a project which will take the form of a research based report and can be accompanied by a production (charity event, fashion show, sport event etc) or an artefact (piece of art, computer game etc). Past students have completed projects on a range of different topics from The French Revolution to Fracking and Representations in Ancient Cultures.
The EPQ gives students the chance to be creative and curious. Although a project may be directly related to your main study programme, you can explore concepts beyond the course content. This develops your independent study skills and will help you stand out when applying for university or a future career.
