TRIPS & VISITS

Our students learn beyond the classroom; applying the knowledge they have gained at KGV to real life examples across the world.

ART & FRENCH - PARIS

A level French and Art students were able to immerse themselves in French culture, getting up close to famous sculptures and paintings including Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and works by Manet, Monet, and Picasso. The group also got the chance to view the beauty of the stunning Parisian skyline, the Boulevard St Michel and the Eiffel Tower.

GEOGRAPHY - ICELAND

Geographers studied volcanic craters and geysers – hot springs that shoot out water and steam up to 100 degrees Celsius!

HISTORY - PENDLE

A Level History students embarked on an exciting trip to Pendle Hill, to retrace the steps of the Pendle witches who were hung for witchcraft following the infamous Pendle witch trials of 1612.

HISTORY AND PSYCHOLOGY - KRAKOW AND AUSCHWITZ

A Level History and Psychology students embarked on a fascinating trip to Krakow and Auschwitz to gain an insight into the impact of the holocaust.

PHYSICS – SWITZERLAND

Staff & Students from the A Level Physics department, visited CERN – a world known physics research organisation that carries out ground breaking research into Particle Physics.

SPORTS - BARCELONA

Sports students headed to Barcelona, exploring the home of one of the greatest football teams in the world and visiting the Olympic Park from the 1992 games.

WORLD CHALLENGE - THAILAND & COSTA RICA

Whilst studying at KGV, all students have the opportunity to get involved in a World Challenge expedition to an exotic destination. Expeditions involve a trek, community project and sightseeing as well as time to relax and take in the culture. Previous students have traveled to Thailand and Costa Rica.
