KGV’s Hilary: a fond farewell - 07/06/2010
Farewell Hilary

KGV College Principal Hilary Anslow O.B.E spent her final full day with staff warmly embracing their thanks and best wishes.

After over 19 years ‘keeping the ship steady,’ as she called it, she gave a heartfelt thanks to a full staff gathering. ‘I’m the luckiest woman on the planet!’ she said; ‘Thank you to all the staff, both past and present from the bottom of my heart- for your love and support over the years!’

Chair of Governors, John Rostron M.B.E said of her, during his speech: ‘Even way back when we appointed her, Hilary just blew us away- we knew we had a dynamic new Principal to take us forward. Her involvement both nationally and locally have benefited the College enormously’.

He listed an extensive range of her qualities highlighted by all over the years- ‘approachability’; ‘student centred’; ‘innovative’, ‘enthusiastic’ among many, many others.

He said Hilary was: ‘Simply, one of the best’.

All the best on your retirement, Hilary- from all at KGV!
