
What is the BTEC National Diploma?
A BTEC National is a practical, more work related advanced course. Students learn by completing realistic, workplace-based assignments, and assessment is entirely through coursework. BTEC Nationals are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction and both universities and employers consider them to be equivalent to three A Levels.
Entry Requirements for the BTEC National Diploma
In order to guarantee a place students must achieve at least 5 C grades at GCSE, one of which must be either English Language or Mathematics.
