Welcome to our Student Council Webpage from me- Eveie, your Student Council Rep! I’m so excited to be a member of the council this year because we have such an enthusiastic and dedicated team on board already. I want to provide realistic, down-to-earth guidance and advice for all students of KGV this year and in addition, host some brilliant events for us all to enjoy!

This year Greg and I have changed the structure of the council in the hope that it will run smoothly all year round. We now have 5 interdependent departments that can clearly fulfil their roles whilst regularly feeding back to the council. The departments are:

1. Surveys
2. Publicity and Photography
3. Charity
4. The Prom Committee
5. The Webpage and Blog Department

I wanted to become a member of the Student Council because I know that in a college with so many people there needs to be a slick organisation that can voice the opinions of all students as one. In addition, being the Council Rep brings so many skills that aren’t taught in my lessons and is priceless for my progression in the adult world.

I am in my second year of KGV and study English Language and Literature combined, Modern History, Sociology and took French at AS Level last year. My subjects are great: the content, the assessment style, the skills I have learnt and the people I have met as a result make me enthusiastic to get out of bed in the morning- even if it is early!

I like to get involved in College events- last year I won the Womens’ 1-2-1 Challenge for Breast Cancer in the college gym and raised £100 when boxing-a-mile with my friend Cecilie for Sports Relief. I’m going to London with the English Department on the 23rd September and can’t wait to see the sights and spend some time with my friends!
