Aimhigher is working to inspire, motivate and enable young people to succeed and progress to higher education. Its chief purpose is to support the drive to widen participation in higher education, enabling a greater proportion of young people from traditionally under represented groups access to a higher education opportunity.
Each student was chosen by a specific subject area to attend a 5 day intensive course at the prestigious educational charity, Villiers Park in Cambridge. This offered each of the students a wonderful opportunity to extend the work covered on the A level course with additional and more challenging activities. Two university tutors are employed for each of the courses.
